Kalinka - My Daughters Killer
Netflix/Rogan Films
1 x 90m

Kalinka was comissioned by Netflix and created by director Antoine Tassin for Rogan Films. Kalinka's story is told through various interviews with her father André Bamberski. The graphics throughout the film are primarily to help layout the evidence in a complex murder case spanning 30 years. The aim was to keep things clear and understandable in a style that is sympathic to the period and matched the meticulous record keeping of Bamberski. Given a significant amount of the events were based in the eighties and ninties, a heavy VHS grade was applied to help the graphics blend with the archive footage and stills. A number of 3D enviroments were used to allow family photos to appear on walls and other home spaces to place them back where they may once have been located.
